Privacy Policy
What this website collects, why, and who it goes to.
This policy explains how information is handled on insdef.com. INSDEF is a service brand of HD Law Partners, P.A., a Florida professional association with its office at 2002 N. Lois Avenue, Suite 510, Tampa, Florida 33607. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean HD Law Partners, P.A.
This policy covers this website only. It does not cover hdlawpartners.com, which publishes its own policy, and it does not cover how we handle client files or matter information once an engagement exists. Those are governed by our professional obligations and by the terms of the engagement.
Using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Sending us a message through the contact form does not make us your lawyers and does not make your message privileged or confidential. Please do not send confidential, sensitive, or time-critical information through this website. If a matter is time-sensitive, call 813.253.5333.
Information you give us
The contact form asks for the following. Name, email address, and message are required; the rest are optional.
- Name
- Email address
- Organization
- Phone number
- Matter type (for example, new assignment, coverage question, panel inquiry)
- Your message
When you submit the form, that information is emailed directly to marketing@hdlawpartners.com and amiek@hdlawpartners.com. The email also records the IP address the submission came from and the time it was received. We use a third-party service, Resend, to deliver that email. We do not store form submissions in a separate database on this site.
The form includes a hidden field that human visitors never see. It exists only to filter automated spam submissions, and nothing you do fills it in.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to serve pages and protect the site, including IP addresses, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the time of each request.
Analytics and advertising
We use two third-party tags on every page of this site. Both set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures how the site is used: pages viewed, how visitors arrive, and whether a contact form submission was completed. It does not tell us who you are by name.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag — measures whether visits and form submissions followed a LinkedIn ad, and allows us to show ads on LinkedIn to people who have visited this site. LinkedIn may recognize you as a LinkedIn member.
You can opt out of both:
- Google Analytics — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- LinkedIn — use LinkedIn's advertising opt-out controls.
- Any browser will let you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking them will not stop you from reading this site or using the contact form.
This site also loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Doing so sends your IP address to Google so the font files can be delivered.
How we use this information
- To read and respond to inquiries sent through the contact form.
- To evaluate whether we are able to take on a matter, and to check for conflicts.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To measure and target our advertising on LinkedIn.
- To keep the site available and protect it from abuse.
- To meet our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations, including the advertising rules of The Florida Bar.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We use a small number of service providers that process information on our behalf in order to run this site:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Resend — delivery of contact form submissions to our inboxes.
- Google — analytics and font delivery.
- LinkedIn — advertising measurement and retargeting.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, court order, or the rules governing our profession, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions arrive as email and are retained in our firm inboxes in line with our ordinary records practices. If an inquiry becomes a matter, the information is retained under the file-retention rules that apply to client files. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the schedules set by Google and LinkedIn.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is the reason for the caution above about sending confidential information through this website.
Children
This site is directed to insurance carriers, self-insured entities, and claims professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your choices
You can use this site without submitting anything. If you have submitted an inquiry and would like us to delete it, or if you want to know what we hold, write to us at the address below and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law; tell us what you are asking for and we will address it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced individually.
